Crescent Moon Pose or Anjaneyasana (AHN-jah-nay-AHS-uh-nuh) is a dynamic standing yoga pose
that stretches and strengthens the lower and upper body, and opens the sides of the body while improving concentration. Crescent Moon Pose is a great asana for yogis of all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. Variations on this pose include lowering the back knee to your mat or keeping your hands on your front thigh instead of reaching overhead. Adding a low lunge benefits the heart as well, which makes it a great pose for runners, hikers and bikers.
