HIIT Your Fitness Goals

HIIT is a high-intensity workout designed to push you to your limits. It went mainstream about a decade ago, when exercise physiologists found numerous studies demonstrating that intervals could deliver the biggest health improvement for your exercise time. Recently, fitness professionals voted HIIT one of the top fitness trends for 2020 in a survey by the American College of Sports Medicine. HIIT workouts generally combine short bursts of intense exercise with periods of rest or lower-intensity exercise. Whether you’re in studio or online, these workouts often mix aerobic and resistance training.
3 Main Benefits of HIIT:
· Oxygen booster - increases your VO2 max, which is the amount of oxygen your body can use and is an indicator of cardio fitness
· Fat burner – calories are burnt not only during your workout, but hours after from consuming excess post-exercise oxygen (EPOC)
· Time saver - you can fit it into a lunch break. And while it’s hard work, the short, sharp challenge of HIIT ensures you’ll never get bored with your training
Join Lauren Goddard at 8:30am every Sunday either virtually or in-person at our Wheaton studio for this amazing high intensity workout that will have you ready to take on your Sunday in just half an hour! Pre-registration is required. This 30-minute fast paced class will consist of cardio and exercises with little to no equipment. Conquer this quick workout while burning up to 400 calories.
