NEXT yoga 101 - Yoga Training

Wednesday, January 15, 2020

Begin, fine-tune, or deepen your yoga practice this Sunday, January 19!

This is the 1st class of a 3 part series.

Yoga Workshop
This workshop is specifically designed yoga for beginners. During this yoga workshop, you are given a brief background about yoga, taken through the foundational postures one at a time, and receive alignment cues, emphasizing what is most important in overall fitness yoga.

After instructors, who have completed their yoga certification, demonstrate a pose, you’ll have the opportunity to try it yourself while receiving immediate feedback and adjustments to help you. Your questions are encouraged and serve to help others in the class gain a deeper understanding about yoga therapy.

In NEXT yoga Basics you will learn:

  • Proper yogi ujjayi breathing
  • How to link your breath with movement as you move from one pose to the next
  • Step-by-step guidance on safety, foundational postures and alignment
  • How to make modifications or adjustments during your yoga practice
